Privacy Policy
Overview
My Bread Timer is local-first. Your recipes, bake progress, and settings are stored on your iPhone and work without an account. Sign in with Apple is optional. If you sign in, we back up your recipes (including photos) and store the email Apple provides for support.
Local data
Recipes, ingredients, optional photos, bake progress, and alarm preferences are stored on your device using Appleās on-device storage. Bake progress and timers are not uploaded.
Optional Sign in with Apple and cloud backup
If you choose Sign in with Apple, we create an account linked to your Apple ID. We store the email Apple returns (which may be a Hide My Email address). We use that email only to contact you about support, feedback, and bugs, not for advertising.
When you are signed in, recipe definitions and photos may be uploaded to our servers so we can restore them automatically if you reinstall the app or otherwise lose the recipes on this iPhone. Your iPhone remains the source of truth while the app is installed; you can also save a backup from Settings. Deleting your account removes your backup and stored email from our servers. Recipes that remain on your iPhone are not deleted by account deletion.
Alarms
If you allow alarm access, My Bread Timer schedules alarms on your device when a step timer completes. These alarms are handled by iOS and are not sent through any third-party service.
Recipe photos
You can optionally add photos to your recipes. Photos are selected by you from your photo library and stored on your iPhone. If you use cloud backup, those photos are included in your encrypted-in-transit backup on our servers and are not used for advertising or analytics.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The last updated date below reflects the latest version. Continued use of My Bread Timer after changes means you accept the updated policy.
